KUSP Pledge Drive Begins This Week—We Need Ya
When I took up radio a few years ago, panhandling wasn’t part of the plan. But the economics of pub radio insist on it, so once again I’m joining my colleagues in a chorus of “Spare change bro?” You can help me preserve a little dignity by kicking in a few skins and getting the beggin’ over with as fast as possible. It’s more important than ever, with the effort to end all fed funding for public broadcasting standing a good chance of passing the House and maybe even making it into law.
So if you like the 7th Ave. Project and can give a call or pledge online during our next show (this Sunday, Mr. 6, noon - 1 PST), that would be peachy. That’s the ideal scenario, because you help us make our goal for the hour. If you can’t do it then, you can call or go online any time during the pledge drive this week or next.
